The Madrid Spain Masters 2024, a weighty Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour tournament, will take place at Madrid’s Centro Deportivo Municipal Gallur from March 26-31. This 10th installment of the tournament continues the tradition of the Spain Masters championships.

Indian badminton stars Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu will lead India’s contingent at the BWF Super 300 tournament, which marks the final European leg of the tour. Srikanth, who recently reached the semifinals of the Swiss Open and defeated Lee Zii Jia will look to continue his impressive form in Madrid.

In men’s singles, Kiran George and Sathish Kumar Karunakaran will join him in Madrid. The women’s singles will witness PV Sindhu, the second seed, taking on Canada’s Wen Yu Zhang in a much-anticipated opening round.

Ashmita Chaliha faces a formidable opponent in Thailand’s fourth-seeded Ratchanok Intanon right off the bat. In a fortunate turn of events, the women’s doubles team of Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto received a walkover in their first round, setting a positive tone for their campaign.
