India has 7 titles in Swiss open
The Swiss Open is an annual badminton tournament held in Switzerland since 1955. It became part of the BWF Super Series in 2007. However, in 2011, it was downgraded to a Grand Prix Gold event and is currently a BWF World Tour Super 300 event.
The 2024 Swiss Open, officially known as the Yonex Swiss Open 2024 for sponsorship reasons, is a badminton tournament scheduled to take place at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland, from March 19 to 24, 2024. It boasts a total prize pool of US$210,000.
As the ninth tournament of the 2024 BWF World Tour, the 2024 Swiss Open is a continuation of the Swiss Open championships, which have been a fixture since 1955. This edition is organized by Swiss Badminton with sanctioning from the BWF.
With the 2024 tournament underway, let’s review the past winners of the Swiss Open from 1955 to 2023.
