Top seed Chou Tien-chen enters as the title favourite.

The Canada Open 2025 is the 60th edition of the tournament. Canada Open is a Super 300 tournament and thus features a prize money of USD 240,000. This year’s edition promises intense competition, featuring top-ranked players such as top seed Chou Tien-chen from Taiwan and former World No. 1, Kidambi Srikanth of India.

Ayush Shetty, who recently claimed the US Open 2025 crown, will be a fierce opponent. The Indian defeated top seed Chou Tien-chen on his way to the finals and thus will be one of the favourite contenders for the title.

With top players like Shi Yuqi, Viktor Axelsen, and in women’s singles, An Se-young and Chen Yufei missing from the lineup, the field is wide open for new contenders to make their mark at this iconic tournament.
