India’s journey to FIBA Asia Cup 2025
India were one of the eight teams in the West region competing in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 qualifiers. The Indian team were placed with Iran, Qatar, and Kazakhstan in Group E.
India returned with disappointing performances, as they could only win one out of six games. As a result, they failed to secure a direct qualification to the showpiece event. However, they were given another opportunity to secure a spot in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 by competing in the Final Qualifying Tournament.
They were a part of Group H, comprising Iraq and Bahrain. India beat Iraq 97-77 and then secured a thrilling 81-77 victory over Bahrain to top the table and book their ticket to the FIBA Asia Cup.
Jordan’s journey to FIBA Asia Cup 2025
Like India, Jordan was also part of the West region of the qualifying event for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025. They were then pitted alongside Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Palestine in Group D. Jordan were sensational with their performances, bagging six straight wins to directly qualify for the tournament.
