Saudi Arabia have never lost to India in men’s basketball.
India will lock horns against Saudi Arabia in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers on Thursday, November 27. The Green Hall in Riyadh will serve as the host to an exciting Group D clash between the World No. 76 and the hosts.
This fixture will be India’s first away game before they return to Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Sunday for the reverse fixture.

Saudi Arabia’s recent performances

Alsuwailem was the finest performer in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup, as he topped the charts in rebounds (12.8), blocks (2.8) and overall efficiency (28.3) per game. Meanwhile, he secured 70 points in four games and stood 10th in this domain. Looking at his form, the 27-year-old will play a key role in dictating the result of the game.
Pranav Prince

With 35 points in three games, Prince led the statline for the Indian team in the FIBA Asia Cup. He also had 19 rebounds, 14 assists and an efficiency of 16.7, which was the best among all the players on the team. Hence, he is expected to be doing well for the side in the first group fixture against Saudi Arabia.
