Afghanistan unveils official jersey for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Afghanistan have been drawn in Group B of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Afghanistan are set to make their debut in the ICC Champions Trophy this year. Theyβve been placed in Group B with England, Australia, and South Africa. Their campaign will begin against South Africa on Friday, February 21, in Karachi.
Afghanistan have recently attained impressive success on the international stage. They finished sixth in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, defeating heavyweights like Pakistan and England along the way.
They continued their excellent form in the ICC Menβs T20I World Cup 2024, reaching the semi-finals after defeating 2021 champions Australia in the Super Eight stage.
Known for their strong spin bowling department, Afghanistan have also impressed with their batting performance. The roles in the batting order are clear, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz taking charge, while Hashmatullah Shahidi and Rahmat Shah focus on building the innings.
Weeks ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025, Afghanistan have revealed their new jersey as a tribute to their cultural heritage.

The new Afghanistan jersey for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is inspired by the countryβs rich cultural heritage. It features the elegance of Naskh calligraphy and the geometric patterns of the Jam Minaret in Ghor Province, located in Firuzkuh along the Harirod River.
The Jam Minaret is nearly 800 years old, with a height of 65 meters and a diameter of nine meters. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has posted a video on social media featuring captain Hashmatullah Shahidi, Rahmat Shah, and other players showcasing the new jersey.
