India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in 6th match of Asia Cup 2025.

India and Pakistan locked horns in sixth match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday, September 14. India had a target of 128 runs in the encounter. Abhishek Sharma (31), Suryakumar Yadav (47*), and Tilak Varma (31) slammed crucial knocks to power India to victory by seven wickets.

Earlier, Pakistan skipper Salman Agha won the toss and opted to bat first. They faced a big blow at the start, as opener Saim Ayub and one-down Mohammad Haris lost their wickets within the first two overs. The Men in Green lost their momentum from the start and kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Eventually, they ended with 127/9 in 20 overs. Opener Sahibzada Farhan scored 40 runs, while Shaheen Afridi added a crucial 33 runs towards the end. Kuldeep Yadav replicated his heroics once again and clinched a three-wicket haul in the encounter. Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel clinched two wickets each. Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakaravarthy bagged one scalp each.

Bangladesh skipper Litton Das is the leading run-scorer of Asia Cup 2025 with 87 runs. Afghanistan’s Sediqullah Atal is next with 73 runs. Pakistan’s Mohammad Haris and Sahibzada Farhan occupy the third and fourth spots respectively with 69 runs each. Indian opener Abhishek Sharma, who scored a quickfire 31 runs in the match, occupies the fifth spot with 61 runs.
