Australia Women Cricket Team scripted a massive world record in the semi-final 2 of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 against India Women Cricket Team, which got underway on Thursday, October 30 at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. The defending champions came up with their best batting show in the tournament, reaching a mammoth total of 338/10 in the first innings.
Australia captain Alyssa Healy, who made a comeback in the encounter after recovering from a calf injury, won the toss and opted to bat first. She lost her wicket cheaply for just five runs, however, her opening partner Phoebe Litchfield hammered an impeccable century. She slammed 119 runs off 93 deliveries and etched a partnership of 155 runs with Ellyse Perry (77) as the duo helped team to get off to a powerful start.
Till the 40th over, India Women made a decent comeback in the encounter, restricting Australia to 243/5. However, Ashleigh Gardner (63) smacked a crucial half-century to help the team cross the 300-mark.
With two wickets each, Shree Charni and Deepti Sharma helped India to make a comeback towards the end. Australia Women were expected to cross 350 runs following their explosive start, however, they had to settle with 338 in the end after getting bowled out in 49.5 overs.

With a mammoth 338/10 total, Australia Women have scripted the record for the second-highest ever team total in the knockouts of ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. They also hold the top record with 356/5, which they registered against England Women in the final of the previous edition.
