India spinner Axar Patel was all praise for veteran India batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The two ex-captains of the Indian team will make their Men in Blue return in the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia.
The first ODI will be played in Perth on October 19, the second match will be played in Adelaide on October 23, and the final ODI will be played in Sydney on October 25.
The cricketing world is eagerly awaiting Kohli and Rohit’s return to international cricket as the three-match ODI series between Australia and India approaches. The duo last played for India in their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 win in March this year.
The opening game of the series will take place in the midst of ongoing speculation regarding the two players’ futures and potential participation in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.
There has been conjecture regarding the pair’s future ever since they announced their retirement from test cricket earlier this year. The future of Rohit and Kohli is in jeopardy as the rumour mills are working overtime after Rohit was stripped of the ODI captaincy and replaced by Shubman Gill.

They are ready to go. “If you speak about their form, they have been preparing well; hence, I think they are ready. Everyone has given their fitness test; they are raring to go now,” Axar stated to the reporters.
