Usman Khawaja was bowled by Mohammed Siraj for 21 runs in Australia’s second innings at the MCG.

You can’t keep Mohammed Siraj away from some drama in test cricket. The Indian speedster riled up Steve Smith with his finger on lips celebration on day 4 of the fourth BGT 2024-25 test at the MCG, eliciting an interesting response from the veteran Aussie batsman.

Siraj was fired up in the morning session on day 4 of the MCG test. He bowled a terrific spell with the new ball in Australia’s second innings, returning with figures of 7-4-10-1.

Siraj bowled Usman Khwaja with a jaffa of a delivery. He sent down a length delivery on the middle-stump that had Khawaja pinned to his crease. The left-handed opener played a loose drive with his feet stuck, leaving a gap between his bat and pad for the ball to go through it and rattle the top of the off-stump.

Siraj celebrated Khawaja’s wicket with a finger on lips celebration, silencing the home crowd. Smith was unimpressed with Siraj’s celebration and shushed him back with a disdainful look.

The video of these events went viral on social media. Check it out here.
