Dhawal Kulkarni inaugurates Rohit Sharma's cricket academy 'Crickingdom' in Indonesia

Dhawal Kulkarni played 12 ODIs and two T20Is for the Indian cricket team.

Former India and Mumbai pacer Dhawal Kulkarni recently inaugurated Rohit Sharma’s cricket academy ‘Crickingdom’ in Indonesia.

The inauguration of this cricket academy of the India ODI and test captain marked another significant milestone in the global expansion of Crickingdom, which has been transforming cricket coaching worldwide.

Before Indonesia, ‘Crickingdom’ was spread across, India, Singapore, the United States of America, Bangladesh and Australia.

Beginning of a legacy: Vishal Sharma shares heartwarming post with Kulkarni

Veteran Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma’s brother, Vishal Sharma, shared a heartwarming post on his Instagram handle with former pacer Kulkarni. The Instagram post highlighted the growing reach of the academy.

“In the heart of Jakarta, Crickingdom Cricket Academy offering a pathway to success for every young cricketer with a dream. This launch is not just an event, but the beginning of a legacy that will shape the future of cricket in Jakarta. Wishing our partner a great success in coming future,” Rohit’s brother Vishal Sharma wrote.

Kulkarni ended his First-Class (FC) career on a glorious note after his side Mumbai clinched their 42nd Ranji Trophy title by defeating Vidarbha in the final of the 2023-24 season.

The right-arm speedster played 96 FC matches and snapped 285 wickets at an average of 27.11.

Meanwhile, Rohit went through a low recently as India’s ODI captain when his side suffered a crushing ODI series defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka. The Men in Blue lost the three-match series by 2-0 against the hosts in Colombo.
