ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Scotland squad, schedule, timings, venues and all you need to know

Scotland will play their first Group B match in the T20 World Cup 2024 against England on June 4.

Scotland will be competing in Group B in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will be hosted in the Caribbean islands and the United States of America between June 01-29.

For the first time in the history of the T20 World Cup, as many as 20 teams will be participating in the main competition. Each of the 20 teams will play four group matches.

The top two sides from each of the four groups will advance to the Super 8 round, where they will be divided into two groups of four each. The top two teams from each group in the Super 8s will proceed to the semis. The semi-finals will take place on June 26 and 27, with the summit clash in Barbados slated for June 29.

Scotland have appeared in five T20 World Cups so far. They featured in the first two editions of the tournament in 2007 and 2009. They failed to qualify for the next three editions before returning in the 2016 edition in India. They had their best outing when they qualified for the Super 12 round in 2021. However, in the next edition in Australia, in 2022, they were eliminated in the group phase.

Scotland find themselves in Group B of the T20 World Cup 2024. They will be competing against defending champions England, Australia, Namibia and Oman.

Scotland will begin their tournament against England on June 4 and will then take on Namibia on June 6. Their third match in the group phase will be against Oman on June 9 and their final match will be against Australia on June 15.

Scotland group stage venues for their matches in T20 World Cup 2024:

Scotland will play their first two Group B matches at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Their third group match will be hosted at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua, before they play their last group game at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia.

Timings for Scotland’s matches in T20 World Cup 2024:

Scotland’s first match against England will begin at 8 PM IST (+5:30 GMT) (10:30 AM local). Their second match against Namibia will begin at 12.30 AM IST (+5:30 GMT) (3:00 PM local). Their game against Oman is scheduled at 10.30 PM IST (+5:30 GMT) (1:00 PM local) and their final league against Australia will be played at 6 AM IST (+5:30 GMT) (8:30 PM local).
