The semi-finals of the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2025 will be played on January 31.

The ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2025 has lived up to expectations and delivered some thrilling matches. The tournament, which started on January 18, is set to host the semi-finals on January 31.

The semi-finals will be held in Kuala Lumpur, featuring the top two teams from each of the Super Six groups. The tournament included 16 teams, divided into four groups: A, B, C, and D, with each group having four teams each.

The top three teams from each group advanced to the Super Six stage, where they were split into Super Six Group 1 and Super Six Group 2, each with six teams, where the top two teams of the Super Six groups will play the semi-finals.

1. India

India have been outstanding in the tournament so far, winning all four games they’ve played. The Women in Blue began with a nine-wicket win against the West Indies and followed it up with a dominant 10-wicket victory over Malaysia. They then defeated Sri Lanka by 60 runs to end the group stage with a perfect record.

In the Super Six, they defeated Bangladesh by eight wickets and will face Scotland on January 28. India will aim to maintain their strong form in the semi-finals, where they will encounter tougher opponents.

Vaishnavi Sharma has been the star for India and currents sits at the top of highest wicket-takers’ chart with nine wickets.

2. Australia

Australia’s dominance in women’s cricket is well-known. The Aussies have been impressive, winning four out of four games so far to make it to the semi-finals of the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2025. They started the tournament with a comfortable win over Scotland, followed by narrow victories against Bangladesh and Nepal in their group stage matches.

Lucy Hamilton has been the top run-scorer for the team with 61 runs in the tournament, while Caoimhe Bray has led the bowling attack with seven wickets.

3. England

England are another team to have secured a spot in the semi-finals with three wins from five games. The Three Lions were unlucky as two of their matches against Ireland and Nigeria were abandoned due to rain.

They, however, recorded easy wins against Pakistan, USA, and New Zealand, all of which came while chasing. Davina Perrin has led the way for them scoring 131 runs in the tournament so far at an strike rate of 146.

4. South Africa

South Africa have won all four of their games so far, keeping a perfect record in the tournament to qualify for the semi-finals. They beat New Zealand, Samoa, and Nigeria in the group stage. They then defeated Ireland by seven wickets in the Super Six. Their final game before the semi-finals is against the USA on January 28.

Off-spinner Kayla Reyneke is the team’s highest wicket-taker, with nine wickets in four games and an impressive economy rate of just 4.03!
