The IND vs BAN two-match test series will be played in Chennai and Kanpur.

The Indian cricket team are set to host Bangladesh in a two-match test series, starting from September 19 in Chennai. This test series will mark the beginning of 2024-25 home season for Team India. This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25.

The BCCI recently named a 16-member squad for the opening fixture of the two-match test series. Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the side. Star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant made his much-awaited comeback to the test squad since his car accident in December 2022. Pant last featured in a test match in 2022.

During the two-match test series against Bangladesh, three Indian cricketers would be eyeing big milestones, which we will talk here.

IND vs BAN: 3 records which Indian cricketers can achieve in the test series

Virat Kohli will be playing his first home test series in 2024. Earlier this year, the 35-year-old missed the England test series due to personal reasons.

Against Bangladesh, Kohli will be aiming to achieve a huge milestone in his glorious career. The veteran batter needs 152 more runs to reach the 9000-run landmark in the longest format.

Only three Indian batters have so far scored more than 9000 test runs. Kohli has so far amassed 8848 runs in 113 test matches at an impressive average of 49.15. He has 29 test centuries under his belt.

2. KL Rahul needs 137 runs to complete 3000 test runs

Batter KL Rahul needs 137 more runs to achieve the 3000-run landmark in his test career. The 32-year-old cricketer has scored 2851 runs in 50 matches till now.

Rahul has made eight centuries and 14 half-centuries in the longest format. He missed the last four tests against England due to an injury.

3. Ravindra Jadeja needs six wickets to complete 300 test wickets

Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has a great chance to achieve a huge milestone during the two-match test series against Bangladesh. Jadeja is just six wickets away from completing 300 test wickets.

If and when he does so, the all-rounder would become the seventh Indian bowler to pick 300 wickets in the longest format. Currently, Jadeja has 294 wickets in 72 matches at a bowling average of 24.13.
