India have played 14 tests against England at The Oval, London so far.

After a hard-fought draw in fourth test of the five-match test series against England for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, India are gearing up to face the hosts for the final test of the series. The last match of the series, which will decide if the hosts win the series or it ends in a draw, will be played at The Oval from July 31.

The series currently stands in favour of the hosts by a margin of 2-1 after they won the first and third tests at Headingley and Lord’s while the visitors won the second test at Edgbaston and played out a draw in the fourth test at Old Trafford.

Ahead of the fifth test, the visitors have been dealt with a massive blow as their front-line wicket-keeper batter and vice-captain Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the game. Pant was ruled out after he fractured his toe during the Manchester test after being hit off Chris Woakes’ delivery on his foot.

Moreover, it is also unclear whether Jasprit Bumrah will be included in India’s playing XI for the final test or not as it was already decided, according to workload management, that he would play only three out of five tests on the England tour.

So far, India have played 15 tests at The Oval and 14 of them came against England. The 15th encounter was against Australia for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) mace in the 2021-23 cycle. India have managed to win two matches at the venue against England while they lost five and drew seven encounters.
