IPL 2024 auction: 25 players including Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, and Kedar Jadhav set a base price of 2 crores

IPL 2024 auction is set to be held in Dubai on December 19, 2023.

The IPL 2024 auction, which will take place in Dubai on December 19, 2023, will feature some of today’s greatest names in cricket. On Friday, the identities of 1,166 registered players were provided to the IPL franchises.

There are 830 Indian players and 336 foreign players among the 1,166 total. There are 212 capped players, 909 uncapped players, and 45 associate players on the list.

However, the ultimate pool will be significantly smaller after the franchises submit the names of individuals they are interested in the IPL. There are 45 players from Associate nations on the list, 909 uncapped players, 812 of them are Indian, and 18 capped Indian players.

The ten franchises have a total of 77 places to fill in the IPL 2024 auction, 30 of which can be filled by foreign players. At the auction, a total of INR 262.95 crores will be available for spending.

Seven of Australia’s ODI World Cup winning squad – Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Steven Smith, Josh Inglis, and Sean Abbott – are among 25 players to enter the IPL 2024 auction with a base price of INR 2 crore.

Other notable players in the highest base price band include South Africa’s highest wicket-taker at the World Cup, fast bowler Gerald Coetzee, and England batter Harry Brook, who was released by Sunrisers Hyderabad, along with Harshal Patel, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, and Kedar Jadhav.
