IPL 2024 auction: Released by Mumbai Indians, Hritik Shokeen remains unsold

Hrithik Shokeen represented Mumbai Indians in the previous two seasons of the IPL.
Everyone was surprised when Mumbai Indians released off-spinner Hrithik Shokeen from their squad. Shokeen showed a big promise for MI in IPL 2022 and 2023 when they needed their youngsters to step up. Shokeen has found no buyers in IPL mini-auction 2024. Shokeen was seen as a promising figure in the previous season of IPL 2023 but no franchises showed any interest.
Along with the off-spin ability, Hrithik Shokeen can also provide a decent lower-order batting option in the side. The young cricketer from Delhi got 20 Lakh INR in IPL 2022 mega auction and played two seasons for the MI. Shokeen is part of Delhi Ranji team in Indian domestic cricket setup. He found no place in the upcoming season of IPL 2024.
Hrthik Shokeen is unsold
Indian off-spinner Hrithik Shokeen entered IPL 2024 auction at a base price of 20 lakhs, and he went unsold. One of the biggest reason is his non-performance in the recently concluded Indian domestic tournaments. He also had a few altercation against opponents in IPL as well as in Indian domestic cricket causing a major setback for him in IPL auction.
Hrthik Shokeen in the previous IPL
Mumbai Indians mostly used Hrithik Shokeen as an impact player in IPL 2023. Hrithik made his Indian Premier League debut against Chennai Super Kings at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and impressed everyone with his magnificent performance. Shokeen scored 25 runs in 25 balls with 3 fours and also bowled an economical spell of 0/23 in 4 overs. Shokeen is also a brilliant outfielder and has saved several boundaries for his side.
Hrithik Shokeen played 5 games in his debut season and picked up 2 wickets. Shokeen also scored 43 runs with the bat. Later on, Shokeen was used primarily as an impact player in IPL 2023 but had a dissmal performance in the previous season.
