Manish Pandey, the discarded Indian middle-order batter, found himself at a pivotal juncture in his cricketing journey as he entered the IPL 2024 auction. Having recently been released by Delhi Capitals, the seasoned cricketer from Karnataka is set to face a fresh chapter in his career. Despite being a consistent performer in domestic leagues.
Pandey has played in all sixteen IPL seasons so far, showcasing his determination and adaptability on the field. Notably, he played a crucial role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ triumphant campaign in 2014, contributing significantly to their title victory.

Indian middle-order batter Manish Pandey entered the IPL 2024 auction at a base price of INR 50 lakh, and he got sold to KKR for a price of 50 lakhs. He is back to KKR where he won the title in 2014.

Manish Pandey, the flamboyant right-hand top-order batsman, carries a legacy of remarkable achievements in IPL, notably making history in 2009 by becoming the first Indian to score a century in the tournament, an unbeaten 114 for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Deccan Chargers.
Pandey’s IPL journey has witnessed transitions, moving from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Pune Warriors in 2011 and continuing with them till 2013. The pivotal moment occurred in 2014 when Kolkata Knight Riders secured him at IPL player auction, and he evolved into a crucial player with a wealth of experience.
In 2018, Sunrisers Hyderabad acquired Pandey for a staggering 11 crores, making him their most expensive buy, and he continued to impress, leading to his retention for the 2019 edition.
However, the 2023 season saw a change in dynamics as he donned Delhi Capitals jersey. In 10 appearances, Pandey scored 160 runs at an average of 17.78 with a strike rate of 109.59. His contributions included a half-century.
