West Indian all-rounder entered the IPL 2024 auction at a base price of 1 crore, and he got sold to RR for a whopping price of 7.40 crore.

Rovman Powell was initially drafted by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018, Powell unfortunately did not get a chance to showcase his skills on the field. However, in 2022, his fortunes changed as Delhi Capitals secured his services for INR 2.8 crore.
In the 2022 season, Powell made a significant impact with the bat for Delhi Capitals, scoring 250 runs in 14 matches at an impressive strike rate of 149.70. His highest score of 67* against Sunrisers Hyderabad underscored his ability to anchor the innings and play impactful knocks. In IPL 2023 he featured in 3 matches.
