IPL 2024: Who has replaced David Willey in the Lucknow Super Giants' squad?

Lucknow Super Giants’ David Willey pulled out of entire IPL 2024 citing personal reasons.
England pacer David Willey, who was signed up by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the IPL 2024, has pulled out from the tournament. The English left-arm seamer played the last two IPL seasons with Royal Challengers Bangalore (now Royal Challengers Bengaluru) and was set to play for LSG this year after being signed at his base price of INR 2 crores at December’s auction in Dubai.
However, as per the IPL statement, Willey has withdrawn from the ongoing edition of the IPL due to personal reasons. Earlier, LSG head coach Justin Langer had confirmed that the pacer will miss the initial matches of the tournament.
Willey had been playing non-stop cricket for quite some time. Willey played for the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the ILT20 before joining the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League, which ended on March 18. Willey, 34, played in the PSL 2024 final, which the Sultans lost, before returning to his home in the United Kingdom.
Before him, the Lucknow-based franchise was hit with a huge blow when their ace England pacer Mark Wood pulled out of the entire IPL 2024, as ECB wanted to manage his workload.
LSG named Matt Henry as a replacement for David Willey
Lucknow have now named New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry as replacement of David Willey for IPL 2024. Henry has represented New Zealand in 25 tests, 82 ODIS and 17 T20Is so far. In the past, he has been part of the Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
“Matt Henry, the New Zealand fast bowler, has signed with the Lucknow Super Giants for the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Henry comes in as a replacement for the England all-rounder, David Willey, who has withdrawn from the tournament due to personal reasons. Henry joins in at his base price of INR 1.25 crores,” an IPL statement read.
