IPL 2025: List of all players retained and released by KKR

Shreyas Iyer will be up for grabs at the IPL 2025 mega auction.
In a shocking development, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have released captain Shreyas Iyer ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction.
Iyer led KKR to their third IPL title this season. However, for reasons unknown yet, the franchise hasn’t retained him, and they can’t get him back in the auction through the Right-To-Match (RTM) as they have retained six players, the maximum limit allowed.
In IPL 2024, the Shah Rukh Khan-owned franchise finished at the top of the points table with nine wins in 14 games. They thumped Sunrisers Hyderabad in both Qualifier 1 and the final to clinch their third title.
Among the expected retentions, KKR have held on to Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, and Varun Chakaravarthy, while all-rounder Ramandeep Singh and speedster Harshit Rana are the uncapped players who will continue with the franchise.
IPL 2025 KKR players retained:
Rinku Singh (INR 13 crores)
Varun Chakravarthy (INR 12 crores)
Sunil Narine (INR 12 crores)
