Aniket Verma smashed 74 off 41 before getting caught by Jake Fraser-McGurk.
The 10th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is currently underway at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
Batting first, SRH endured a disastrous start, slipping to 37/4 within four overs. DC’s Mitchell Starc caused problem for the visitors’ top order, dismissing Ishan Kishan and Travis Head in quick succession to derail the innings.
Hyderabad’s rescue act came through Aniket Verma and Heinrich Klaasen, who stitched together a crucial 77-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Aniket, in particular, took on the aggressor’s role, smashing 74 off 41 balls, including five fours and six sixes.
Relief for DC came in the 16th over when Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Aniket Verma with a short ball that he mistimed straight to Jake Fraser-McGurk at deep midwicket. The ball seemed destined to clear the ropes, but JFM’s perfectly timed jump ended Aniket’s innings.

Mitchell Starc’s 5/35 in the first innings has been the defining factor between the two teams so far.
