All 15-members of India squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 have featured in IPL.

India recently announced their squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, and some of these players also actively participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for their respective franchises.

India have a well-rounded squad for the most important tournament, ensuring they have all aspects of the game covered. When we look at players who simultaneously play for an IPL franchise and have made it into the Indian squad, it's interesting to note that Mumbai Indians stand out with four players in the mix. On the flip side, it's worth mentioning that no Indian players representing teams like Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad have managed to secure spots on Indian team.

Here is the list of players from India's squad for World Cup and their IPL franchise:

1. MI - 4 (Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah) :

In the upcoming World Cup, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will be joined by Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, and Jasprit Bumrah, all of whom are regulars in Mumbai Indians squad. Ishan Kishan's impressive form has earned him a well-deserved place in Indian squad. Captain Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah are expected to play crucial roles in India's efforts to succeed in the tournament. Whether Suryakumar Yadav will secure a spot in the starting XI for Men in Blue during the 2023 World Cup remains uncertain.

2. GT - 3 ( Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami) :

From Gujarat Titans, we have the talented trio of Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammed Shami in Indian squad for upcoming World Cup. Shubman Gill is poised to play a crucial role as an opening batsman alongside Rohit Sharma, providing strength at the top of the order. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya has been entrusted with the role of vice-captain for the tournament. As a seasoned all-rounder, he is anticipated to make substantial contributions with both his batting and bowling. Additionally, Shami will play a crucial role as a key bowler for India.

3. RCB - 2 (Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj) :

In Indian squad, we have two standout players from Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj. Virat Kohli, the former Indian captain, is well-known for his exceptional skills in chasing runs and provides valuable leadership to the team. On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj's ability to bowl with both speed and accuracy makes him a strong weapon in the bowling department. But Siraj might have to wait for his chance to play, as Shardul Thakur could potentially be used as the third seam bowler due to his proficiency in lower-order batting.

4. KKR - 2 ( Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur) :

From Kolkata Knight Riders, we have Shreyas Iyer and Shardul Thakur in Indian squad. KKR's skipper, Shreyas Iyer, has recently made a comeback to Indian side after recovering from an injury. He is expected to play a pivotal role for men in blue in the middle-order batting department. Additionally, Shardul Thakur might come into play if skipper Rohit Sharma decides to strengthen the lower-order batting.

5. DC - 2 (Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav) :

From Delhi Capitals, we have Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel in Indian squad. These two spin bowlers will be responsible for handling the spin department. Kuldeep Yadav has demonstrated his excellent form with the ball, as evidenced in both IPL and the recent West Indies tour. On the other hand, Axar Patel has had limited game time and may be travelling as a backup option for Ravindra Jadeja.

6. CSK - 1 ( Ravindra Jadeja) :

Ravindra Jadeja, who plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), is a key member of Indian squad and is likely to be the team's primary all-rounder in the starting XI, alongside Pandya. Jadeja has a proven track record of consistent performances for India over the years, and he's committed to making significant contributions with both his batting and bowling abilities. Moreover, his exceptional fielding skills add valuable strength to the men in blue's fielding department.

7. LSG - 1 (KL Rahul) :

From Lucknow Super Giants, we have KL Rahul in Indian squad. KL Rahul has recently been included in Indian squad for the ongoing Asia Cup. While he may have to wait for his turn to get a game due to Ishan Kishan's impressive performances, it's likely that India will consider him a preferred option. Rahul has been a dependable number 5 batsman for India in the 50-overs format, and his presence adds significant value to Indian side.
