Ishant Sharma reveals when MS Dhoni scolded his players, even Virat Kohli

MS Dhoni is world-renowned for his calm and composed nature during his career.
MS Dhoni is probably the best captain that India has ever produced in this game. He had achieved a lot that not any other Indian captain could do in his career. One of the prime reasons for Dhoni's success as captain was his cool and composed head. Despite any game situation, he was always cool and never expressed his emotions, even in stressful situations like the World Cup final.
But there have been a few occasions when the "captain cool" also lost his cool and showed his anger on his teammates. Veteran Indian pacer Ishant Sharma opened up about the moods of MS Dhoni and also said that the former Indian captain has one of the best cricketing brains and never forgets to school the player when required. In a discussion with Ranveer Allahabadia on his YouTube channel, he recalled the moments when Dhoni scolded him for his mistakes. He also revealed a moment when Dhoni lashed out at Virat Kohli in Shikhar Dhawan's debut test.
Ishant Sharma recalled moments when MS Dhoni got angry at him and Virat Kohli
Ishant said that when MSD is sitting quietly while thinking, if anyone asks him anything, he gets serious. He stated that the former Indian captain never got angry with him, just twice in his career. Ishant recalled the moment for the first time when he couldn't throw the ball directly to MSD, and Dhoni said, "Haath mein mar le." The second incident took place in the final of the 2013 Champions Trophy, which was the last time India won an ICC event.
Ishant missed Ravi Bopara's catch due to an error in judgment, and the batter took two runs. The captain didn't say anything but had an angry look in his eyes on the drop catch and later came close to Ishant and said, "Jab fielding nahi hoti wahan pe to khada mat hua kar. (Don’t stand there if you can’t field.)" The pacer added, "Calm and cool to nahi hai, he keeps on scolding his players."
Furthermore, he said that the former Indian captain never attended the bowling meetings and always said that all the strategy would depend on the bowling conditions on the pitch, so there would be no use of any pre-planned strategy. However, the pacer also revealed when MSD got angry with Virat Kohli during Shikhar Dhawan's debut test in 2013 in Mohali.
India won that game, but it got stuck as Dhawan fractured his thumb and couldn't bat in the second innings. On the other hand, Virat got out playing a rash shot in the second innings, and Dhoni got mad at him. Ishant said, "The Test match got bogged down and Cheeku (Virat Kohli) got out. After winning the match, Mahi Bhai (MS Dhoni) said to Cheeku, Jab Pata hai hum ek batsman short hain to wo shot maarne ki kya zarurat thi (When you know that we are one batter short then why did you play that shot?)"
