Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer are currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for their rehab.

Team India have certainly missed ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah since the star pacer has been out of action since last September. The 29-year-old suffered a back injury, which left India with few choices. Bumrah missed the Asia Cup 2022, the T20 World Cup 2022, and the WTC final during this duration. And it will not be a wrong statement to say that India missed a death bowler.

However, it looked like the Men in Blue would get a huge boost as Jasprit Bumrah is showing great signs and bowling full quotas of overs. Bumrah had a successful back surgery in March 2023 and has been completing his rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. As per the media reports from IndianExpress, the pacer is taking regular part in the net sessions and bowling at full throttle.

Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer are expected to be back in the Indian team - Reports

Not just Burmah, but India's star middle-order batter, Shreyas Iyer, has also been out of action for a while now. Iyer suffered a back injury and has missed a number of series and tournaments since then. He also underwent a successful back injury and started his rehab program. He missed the entire IPL season and the WTC final.

Some media reports suggest that both Iyer and Bumrah are expected to return on India's tour of Ireland. Bumrah started his bowling sessions last month. India will hope that both of these players can make quick recoveries and become part of the playing XI for the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup. Both of these players are completing their rehab under the supervision of NCA head VVS Laxman.

The BCCI was planning to give Bumrah game time and bring him back into the team for the upcoming Asia Cup, but now he might get a chance on a trip to Ireland with a second-string team. The Indian medical team is taking extra care of both of these players as they are important members of the team. We might see these players taking part in some practice matches at NCA soon.
