Kate Cross' old tweet on RCB goes viral after RCB buy her in WPL 2024 auction

RCB signed English star Kate Cross for INR 30 Lakh at the WPL 2024 auction.
The WPL 2024 auction got underway in Mumbai on Saturday with all five teams making sure that they will end up with a good set of players at the end of the event. Some big names couldn’t fetch any buyers, while some unexpected players got a big deal. So far, the auction has given a roller-coaster experience to the fans. But there was a rather surprising moment in the event.
It happened when Royal Challengers Bangalore got English pacer Kate Cross for her base price of INR 30 lakh. She has a lot of international experience and is a key player for England across formats. With Kate Cross joining the RCB camp, she might be the leader of their bowling attack for the upcoming WPL 2024.
Kate Cross’ old anti-RCB tweet goes viral after the franchise signed her at the WPL 2024 auction
The signing of Kate Cross to RCB created a lot of buzz. Notably, the English star is a huge CSK fan and has supported the Yellow Army in the Indian Premier League. But that’s not it. As a result, as she was picked by the RCB, one of her old tweets went viral, where she showed her support for the CSK against the RCB.
In her tweet, she wished for CSK to reach the final, overcoming RCB. And the tables have turned, and she is with the team that she didn’t show any support for. In the tweet, a Twitter (now X) user tweeted that RCB would not win the 2021 season. She retweeted, “Good job I don’t support RCB then.”
However, it will be an interesting pick by the Bangalore franchise and will be more interesting for the CSK fans watching Kate Cross wearing the RCB kit. But her inclusion will surely strengthen the bowling department of the team. The English superstar is widely experienced and has played in various leagues across the world. She will be making her IPL debut soon for the RCB.
