Captain Hardik Pandya has revealed why Kuldeep Yadav missed out on the second T20I vs WI.

As cricket enthusiasts gear up for an exciting clash, India are set to take on the West Indies in the second T20I match in Guyana. The cricket world awaits another thrilling encounter between these two formidable teams.

The toss has just taken place, and India have won the toss, electing to bat first. With the opportunity to set a challenging total on the board, the Indian team aim to capitalize on their batting strength.

In the previous T20 encounter, the West Indies triumphed in a thrilling encounter against India, winning by 4 runs. Chasing 150, India managed 145/9 in 20 overs, falling just short of the target set by the West Indies (149/6).

Who replaces Kuldeep Yadav for second T20I?

As the teams prepared for the second T20I, as captain Hardik Pandya mentioned in the toss, the Indian camp received distressing news yesterday when Kuldeep Yadav, the talented left-arm wrist spinner, has been ruled out of the game due to an injury. The chinaman spinner was hit on the hand and suffered a minor injury, during the practice session yesterday. The impact left him with discomfort and necessitated medical attention. The Indian team have left the chinaman spinner out as a precautionary measure.

“We have a forced change today, Kuldeep got hit on the hand yesterday in the nets, it is not serious. As a precautionary measure, we’ve rested him. Ravi Bishnoi comes in his place,” said India captain Hardik Pandya at the toss.

The BCCI, also in a tweet, further explained Kuldeep Yadav got hit while batting in the nets and is suffering a sore thumb on his bowling hand, which made him unavailable for the second T20I against West Indies in Guyana.

The BCCI tweeted “UPDATE: Kuldeep Yadav got hit while batting in the nets and was unavailable for selection for the 2nd T20I due to a sore left thumb. “

The injury comes as a significant blow to both Kuldeep Yadav and the Indian team. The spinner had been in excellent form, showcasing his mastery with the ball in recent games. In the first T20I, He picked up one wicket in his four-over spell by just conceding 20 runs.

In light of Kuldeep Yadav’s unfortunate injury, the team management swiftly made a decision and included Ravi Bishnoi as his replacement. The young leg-spinner has been knocking on the doors of the national team with consistent performances in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League.

Bishnoi’s addition to the squad is well-deserved, considering his impressive T20I record. In his ten T20I appearances for India, he has already claimed 16 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 7.08. His ability to extract turns from the pitches and deliver crucial breakthroughs makes him a compelling choice for this crucial encounter.
