Lungi Ngidi has been added to South Africa’s squad following Kagiso Rabada’s rib injury.
South Africa Cricket Team have made a massive addition to their squad for the second test against Indian Cricket Team. The Proteas team have added Lungi Ngidi as cover for Kagiso Rabada, who is suffering from a rib injury and might not be able to participate in the second test.
Rabada was ruled out of the first test at Eden Gardens in Kolkata due to a rib injury, as revealed by captain Temba Bavuma at the toss. However, his absence did not affect Proteas as they dominated India and crushed them to gain a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
The second test will start on Saturday, November 22 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, which will host a test match for the first time. While the hosts will aim for a comeback in the series to draw the two-match series, Temba Bavuma & Co. will look forward to a clean sweep. In the previous clash, they registered a test match victory in India after 15 years.
