Ahmedabad Crime Branch arrests man for sending threatening emails of attacks at the Narendra Modi Stadium

IND-PAK World Cup clash is set to take place on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

However, with Ahmedabad to host a number of big games in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, a man who didn't have a criminal background sent an email threatening attack on the stadium. On Wednesday, the Ahmedabad crime branch official confirmed the report of the arrest. The mail sent had a claim about the blast at the stadium.
The arrested man is a native of Madhya Pradesh, residing on the outskirts of Rajkot. The official said, "He had issued a brief email from his phone carrying his name. He has no criminal background." Earlier, the police department of Ahmedabad confirmed that there will be extra arrangements for security during IND-PAK clash on October 14 in the city.
That game is likely to attract a massive crowd to the stadium. That is why more than 11,000 security personnel from various departments will be present during that game. Gujarat Police, NSG, RAF, and home guards will be deployed at the stadium during the game in Ahmedabad. The game is expected to be as big as the match played at the MCG during the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.
