Watch: Mohammad Nabi warns Babar Azam for wandering out of crease during PAK vs AFG CWC 2023 match

Mohammad Nabi gave warning to Pakistan skipper Babar Azam during PAK v AFG CWC 2023 match.
Afghanistan spinner Mohammad Nabi was seen warning Pakistan skipper Babar Azam for leaving the crease early at the bowling end when the two sides clashed in the 22nd match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
The two sides are playing at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Pakistan have won two and lost two games out of the four they have played in the tournament. Afghanistan have won only one game in the four matches they have played.
Pakistan came into this encounter with two humiliating losses to India in Ahmedabad and to Australia in Bengaluru. They conceded 399 runs, with David Warner and Mitchell Marsh scoring centuries in Bengaluru. And then, despite half-centuries from openers who added more than 100 runs in the first 21 overs, Pakistan couldn’t accelerate from there and lost the match by 82 runs.
Babar Azam receives warning from Mohammad Nabi for leaving the crease early
Babar Azam won the toss in Chennai and decided to bat first. Pakistan made one change as Shadab Khan returned to the XI in place of Mohammad Nawaz. On the other hand, Afghanistan included Noor Ahmad in the playing XI, playing four proper spinners on a spin-friendly pitch.
They had a decent start as Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq (17) added 56 runs for the opening partnership. But the latter yet again perished on the short ball, which brought skipper Babar Azam to the crease.
During the match, Babar was noticed leaving the crease early at the non-striker’s end by Nabi. After a couple of instances, Nabi warned Babar about the same.
It happened ahead of the first ball of the 16th over when Nabi came to the bowl. He warned Babar and asked him to stay inside the crease. Pakistan skipper, however, acknowledged that and got back inside the line.
