India and South Africa will square off in the final of ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
After a month-long battle among eight teams, India Women Cricket Team and South Africa Women Cricket Team have booked a berth in the final of ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Both sides will square off in the summit clash on November 2 (Sunday) at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
Notably, ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup this year is the 13th edition of the tournament, which began in 1973. Interestingly, only three teams have won the tournament over the years. Australia Women are the most successful team with seven titles in their kitty. England Women are next with four trophies, while New Zealand Women won the tournament once in the 2000 edition.
Although only three teams have won the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup over the years, five teams have made it to the finals across the last 12 editions. Notably, in the first two editions in 1973 and 1978, the finals did not take place as the winners were declared on the basis of league stage toppers.

Australia Women have made it to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup finals on seven occasions, the most than any other team. Out of seven appearances, they won the title on six occasions. Their lone defeat came against New Zealand Women in the 2000 edition. England Women have made it to the finals six times, winning on three occasions and losing an equal number of times. New Zealand Women, who have played four finals, are the next team on the list.
