Indian Cricketing legends, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami honored with honorary lifetime membership of the MCC.

Indian Cricket legends, MS Dhoni, Jhulan Goswami, Mithali Raj, Suresh Raina, and Yuvraj Singh have received another prize in their career. MCC has honored these legends with honorary lifetime membership of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). These names have earned a lot of praise and respect for their game. MCC has awarded lifetime membership of the club to the greatest cricketers in recent times. MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and Yuvraj Singh were part of the 2011 World Cup winning side. They recently celebrated the historical World Cup win's anniversary just three days ago.

19 names were given the honorary membership of MCC

MCC Chief Executive and Secretary, Guy Lavender was pleased to announce the names of players who earned the honorary lifetime membership of MCC. Announcing the name he said, “We are thrilled to be able to announce our newest cohort of honorary life members of MCC. The names that have been announced today are some of the greatest international players”. Highest wicket taker in Women’s ODIs Jhulan Goswami recently called off her long cricket career, similarly Mithali Raj who ended up as a leading run scorer in Women’s ODI is also part of the MCC list.Women’s Cricket has earned the eyeballs they require to bring in some business. Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami’s contribution is huge for the same. Both these legends have made Women’s Cricket more popular than it was. It was Mithali and Jhulan’s hard work on the ground that made the BCCI realise, it is time for the Women’s Premier League. Upcoming Cricketers idolise these two ladies to become great in the game of Cricket.In 2011, After 28 years India lifted the World Cup Trophy. MS Dhoni as a Captain, Yuvraj Singh as a player of the tournament, and Suresh Raina for his brilliance in Knockout games will always get credit for making Indian fans smile on 2nd April 2011. Other than these 5 Indian names, Eoin Morgan, Kevin Pietersen, Anya Shrubsole, Dale Steyn, Ross Taylor, Mohammad Hafeez, Mashrafe Mortaza, Rachael Haynes, Merissa Aguilleria, Laura Marsh, Jenny Gun, Amy Satterthwaite have earned the membership.
