Bangladesh wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim took a flying catch to dismiss Kusal Perera.

Bangladesh’s veteran keeper Mushfiqur Rahim defied age and gravity to take a stunning catch in their ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match against Sri Lanka. This match is extremely important for both teams with respect to qualification for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.

Bangladesh have won only one game in seven matches so far, while Sri Lanka came into this encounter after two wins in seven games. While Bangladesh were the first team to be eliminated from the semi-finals race, Sri Lanka are still in it mathematically.

Shoriful Islam got the ball moving against dangerous opener Kusal Perera, who went on a long drive and paid for it. Rahim rushed to his left and dove at full stretch before catching the ball with his left hand in front of the first slip's face.

Rahim's diving effort awed the on-air experts, notably former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja.
