The KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 final will be played on Sunday at the M.A Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.

It’s time for the grand finale of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The two teams that finished at top of the points table in the group stage will lock horns in the final as well. It will be a clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

This match will take place on Sunday at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. KKR have beaten SRH twice this season. Can they do it for the third time in a row, or will SRH finally break this streak and register a win when it matters the most? Whatever happens, it will be a great game for the fans.

KKR vs SRH: Head-to-Head

KKR have an upper hand against SRH in the IPL. They have won 18 of the 27 matches played between the two sides, while SRH have won the remaining nine.

KKR vs SRH: Top five player battles to watch out for

1. Travis Head vs Mitchell Starc

We know what happened when Travis Head and Mitchell Starc clashed in Qualifier 1. Starc needed just two balls to remove his Australian teammate. In fact, Starc has dismissed Head five times overall, including in the IPL and the Australian domestic One-Day Cup, and four of those dismissals were ducks. So it will be a spicy battle between the two Aussie stars in the KKR vs SRH clash.

2. Abhishek Sharma vs Andre Russell

Abhishek Sharma is another batter who can be the game-changer in the KKR vs SRH clash. The left-hander has been striking over 200 this season. If he stays until the end of the powerplay, he can set the platform for a 200-plus total. However, he has found it tough to score against Andre Russell. The West Indies all-rounder has dismissed him twice in the IPL in just nine balls and conceded 11 runs.

3. Heinrich Klaasen vs Varun Chakravarty

Heinrich Klaasen slammed an important half-century in Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and is in terrific form this season. On his day, he can be as dangerous as any batter in the world.

Varun Chakravarty is also someone who is doing well this season. He will be very difficult to be attacked at Chepauk, where spinners are seen as threat. Varun dismissed Klaasen in the last game as well, and theirs will be an important battle in the middle overs.

4. Sunil Narine vs Jaydev Unadkat

KKR opener Sunil Narine will be a key cog for the Knight Riders because he can single-handedly take the game away from SRH. He has been in sizzling form with the bat this season and another good knock can take KKR to the championship. There are a few SRH bowlers who have bowled well against him, including Jaydev Unadkat. The left-arm pacer has dismissed Narine thrice in 22 balls and conceded 19 runs in the IPL.

5. Venkatesh Iyer vs T. Natarajan

Venkatesh Iyer smashed a brilliant 24-ball fifty against SRH in Qualifier 1 and has four half-centuries in knockout games of the IPL. So he will be another crucial player in the final. He will look to carry on the form in the final.

However, T. Natarajan is also in a good rhythm this season with the ball. Natarajan has dismissed Iyer two times in the IPL in just 11 balls so far.
