The match ended in a tie with both teams scoring 187 runs, and the Proteas eventually won the match in the second Super Over.

In the second game, Australia started the tournament with a win, easily defeating Ireland. Piling up 182/2 in the first innings, the Men-in-Yellow bowled out Ireland for just 115 runs to win by a huge margin of 67 runs.

In the third game, West Indies clinched their second straight victory in the tournament, crushing England. With Sherfane Rutherford’s 76 runs, they posted a gigantic total of 196/6 in the first innings. Later, they dismantled England at 166 runs to win by 30 runs.
