Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has reacted to Kapil Dev’s “Arrogance” remark.

India suffered an unexpected defeat in the second ODI against West Indies on Saturday, which led to backlash from some former cricketers and cricket pundits. Former Indian all-rounder Kapil Dev, who led India to their first World Cup win in 1983, was also among those who criticized the Indian team over their loss in the second game. He also said that the money Indian players are getting from the Indian Premier League has brought arrogance to the players.

However, star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has voided all such allegations. He also said that there is no arrogance among the players on the team. In an interview, Kapil said, “Sometimes, when too much money comes, arrogance comes. These cricketers, they feel they know everything.”

“Everyone has their own opinion”- Ravindra Jadeja reacts to Kapil Dev’s “arrogance” remark

In an interaction ahead of the third and final ODI, Ravindra Jadeja dismissed all the allegations and said that everyone has a different opinion. He said, “I don’t know when he has said this. I don’t search these things on social media. See everyone has their own opinion. Ex-player have full right to share their opinion, but I don’t think there is any arrogance in this team.”

The Men in Blue found themselves under the scanner after losing the second ODI. They rested Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, citing workload management. But that move backfired on them. The Indian batting had a horrible display, and they were bowled out for just 181 runs in 40.5 overs.

Even in the first ODI, India had some experiments in their batting order. Rohit came out to bat at No. 7, while Virat didn’t bat. With only two months left in the 2023 ODI World Cup, many reckon that there is not much time left for experimentation. Ravindra Jadeja further said that players haven’t taken anything for granted and are giving 100 percent. He concluded, “We are representing India and that is our main aim, there is no personal agenda.” Ravindra Jadeja will be back in action on Tuesday in the series-decider to be played in Trinidad.
