KKR’s Rinku Singh made 168 runs in 14 matches in the IPL 2024 season.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star batter Rinku Singh has opened up on his salary in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rinku currently earns INR 55 lakhs per season from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

In the 2018 season, the left-handed batter was roped by KKR for INR 80 lakhs. However, the 26-year-old couldn’t perform well with the bat, but Kolkata showed faith in him and retained him for the 2019 edition.

Rinku was released before the IPL 2022 mega auction by the franchise and was re-bought by the franchise for INR 55 lakhs. The middle-order batter finally showed his class in the IPL 2023 season. The 26-year-old smashed 474 runs in 14 outings at an admirable average of 59.25.

His stunning run in the 2023 edition earned him maiden national call-up to the T20I team. The left-handed batter had a decent run in the IPL 2024 season with Kolkata. Rinku scored 168 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 148.67. Kolkata also clinched the 2024 trophy defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final in Chennai.

I’m happy with the 55 Lakhs, it’s a lot of money: Rinku Singh

Despite not being one of the highest-paid players in Indian Premier League history, Rinku said that he is happy with his salary of INR 55 lakhs.

“I’m happy with the 55 Lakhs I get in KKR. It’s a lot of money,” Rinku said in an interview with News24 Sports.

Despite doing well in the IPL for past few years, Rinku couldn’t find a place in the 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in June, which the Indian team won under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.

The star finisher Rinku traveled with the Indian squad as one of the reserve players. Recently, Rinku played in three-match T20I series during the Sri Lanka white-ball tour.
