Rishabh Pant is the second leading run-getter for India in the ongoing test series against England.
Indian Cricket Team keeper-batter Rishabh Pant has become the talk of the town during the ongoing third test against the England Cricket Team. The two teams are locking horns with each other at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
Rishabh Pant gave a mini heart attack to Indian fans and team management after he copped a blow to his left index finger. During the 34th over of England’s first innings, he got hit while trying to save the ball.
Rishabh Pant looked in immense pain, and that forced him to leave the field in the second session of day one of the ongoing test. Since then, he has been out of the field, and there have been a lot of speculations about whether he will come out to bat or not.
Ahead of the start of day two’s play, even the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) mentioned that Rishabh Pant is still recovering from the finger injury. They added that the keeper-batter is under the supervision of the medical team and won’t be keeping on day two.
Various media reports claimed that Rishabh Pant is still in pain, but he has been putting in the hard yards in the nets. It is reported that the keeper-batter has been taking painkillers and batted for around 27 minutes in the nets.
The video also circulated on the internet as Rishabh Pant was checking his drives. He looked in good shape but was struggling with the pain.

Coming to the match, India had a decent outing with the ball. On the back of Jasprit Bumrah’s fifer, they ended England’s innings on 387 runs. Apart from Bumrah, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Mohammed Siraj bagged two wickets each, while Ravindra Jadeja was amongst the wickets as well.
In response, India lost opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) early, but the Karnataka boys in KL Rahul and Karun Nair (40) added 61 runs for the second wicket to bail the team out of trouble.
