Rishabh Pant, who scored 134 runs in the first innings, slammed a fifty in the second innings.

Indian Cricket Team keeper-batter Rishabh Pant is having a decent time in the middle in the second innings of the ongoing first test against the England Cricket Team. The game between the two teams is taking place at Headingley in Leeds.

After a tough start to day four, where they lost Shubman Gill (8) early, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant were made to work hard. England bowlers bowled terrific lines and lengths and made run scoring hard for India, as conditions too aren’t in favour of batting.

Rishabh Pant, in particular, has taken all the limelight with his antics on the field. The keeper-batter has batted in his usual way, hitting, missing and leaving balls. What has been noticeable is his hilarious comments, which he made while batting.

Rishabh Pant was seen talking to himself as he played a foul shot. He even apologised to Chris Woakes after he pulled out at the last minute. He was heard saying: “Sorry Woaksey, I was not ready.”

Not only this, after he was hit by the ball, he said: “Paki hui ball, Itna tameez se khelne ke chakkar mein choot ra hai.”

Coming to his batting, Rishabh Pant has carried his form from the first innings into the second innings. The keeper-batter slammed a brutal ton in the first innings, ending with an innings of 134 runs. Based on his brilliant effort, India posted a mammoth total of 471 runs on the board.

In the ongoing second innings, Rishabh Pant hasn’t been allowed to score runs freely. But despite that, he had shown great patience and is making sure that he stays there for his team and helps them post a big target on the board.
