Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are expected to be part of the Indian squad for the ODI series against Australia.

The craze of Indian legends, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, over the years has been top of the sky. Even when they are in the fag end of their careers, the craze remains the same, and this will be evident during the upcoming ODI series against the Australian Cricket Team.

This is because the demand for tickets for the white-ball series between Australia and India has been very high. It is this much that Indian fan Zones tickets for both the ODI and T20I series have been sold out fully, revealing the craze of Indian stars in Australia.

This was confirmed by Cricket Australia, with Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager Events & Operations, Cricket Australia, mentioning that they are excited to see the momentum building around the series. Speaking in an official release, he said:

“We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to the Indian fan zones selling out across all eight venues. We are excited to see the momentum building around this series and the strong passion fans continue to display for the game.

“We’re looking forward to a vibrant atmosphere in the stands and a world-class contest on the field between two great cricketing nations,” he said.

The tickets of the Indian fan Zones selling out 50 days ahead of the series speak a lot about the kind of series that is about to come. The two best cricketing nations will be up against each other, and the ODIs will also mark the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Both the batters, who have retired from tests and T20Is, will only be available in ODIs now. They last played for India in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which was in March. They would be keen to make an impact in the series, especially with their retirement talks around the corner.
