FAKE NEWS ALERT! Sara Tendulkar didn't wish Shubman Gill a speedy recovery
Shubman Gill is down with dengue fever and missed out on India's ICC World Cup 2023 opener.
Young India batter Shubman Gill missed out on making his ICC Cricket World Cup debut against Australia on October 8, 2023, in Chennai, as he contracted dengue and didn’t recover in time. Meanwhile, he supposedly received get-well-soon wishes from Sara Tendulkar, as per rumors.
Gill has scored more than 1200 runs in ODIs this year in 2023, with 5 centuries and a best score of 208. He averages 70 and has a strike rate of over 100. However, he missed out on playing in Chennai for India as he is yet to recover from dengue fever.
Ishan Kishan replaced him in Indian playing XI for their opening match of the ICC World Cup 2023 in Chennai and will open the innings as well, captain Rohit Sharma revealed at the toss. India lost the toss and was asked to bowl first under the heat in Chennai.
FAKE NEWS! Sara Tendulkar is not on X and didn’t wish Shubman Gill on the social media platform
Meanwhile, on social media, the limelight was on Shubman Gill, as he allegedly received a message from Sara Tendulkar, daughter of legend Sachin Tendulkar. There have been rumors floating around that the two youngsters are dating. Sara, previously, had posted stories on Instagram during IPL 2023 when Gill hammered centuries in the tournament.
Among the many messages was a tweet allegedly from an account named ‘Sara Tendulkar’, which boasts over 60,000 followers. The account shared a picture of Gill in India’s World Cup jersey with the caption “Get well soon, #ShubmanGill,” accompanied by a blue heart and Indian flag.
It is well known that Sara Tendulkar only uses Instagram for social media purposes and that she does not formally use X (formerly Twitter). She has a sizable fan base on Instagram and frequently posts images from her private life.
The fact that neither Shubman nor Sara have officially acknowledged their romance or responded to the persistent rumors should not be overlooked.
