"A year since i saw you," Shikhar Dhawan's emotional post on his son's birthday will break your heart

Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has not met his son Zoravar from the last one year.

Former Indian opening batter Shikhar Dhawan is one of the most emotional figures in the Indian cricket setup. The year 2023 has been extremely poor for the left-hand batter as he was discarded from the Indian white-ball side earlier this year and was also not considered for the ICC Cricket World Cup in India. Shikhar Dhawan also had to face the toughest time in personal life as well.

Shikhar Dhawan and his Indian-origin Australian wife Ayesha Mukerji separated from each other in October this year and ended their 11 years of marriage leaving their son Zoravar with Ayesha in Australia. Dhawan posted an emotional message on his Instagram account to wish his son Zoravar a happy birthday on Tuesday. Dhawan has revealed that he facing challenges in maintaining contact with his son Zoravar.

Shikhar Dhawan was given the mandatory visitation rights to meet his son both in India and Australia and the family court ordered Ayesha Mukerji to felicitate the same. Shikhar Dhawan in his teary-eyed emotional post wrote, “It’s been a year since I saw you in person, and now, for almost three months, I’ve been blocked from everywhere so Posting the same picture to wish you, my boy, a very Happy Birthday.”

Shikhar Dhawan added, “Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy. I am so proud of you, and I know you’re doing great and growing up nicely, Papa always misses you and loves you. He’s always positive, waiting with a smile for the time when we will meet again by the Grace of God. Be naughty but not destructive, be a giver, be humble, compassionate, patient, and strong.”

Shikar Dhawan also revealed in his emotional post to his son that he he write messages daily to enquire about the well-being. Dhawan wrote, “Despite not seeing you, I write you messages almost every day, asking about your well-being and daily life, sharing what I’m doing and what’s new in my life. Love you loads Zora.” Shikhar Dhawan accused his wife of cruelty.
