Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has been a trending topic among cricket fans in the last few weeks. He was emotional yet composed during the entire tournament. Dhoni played with a knee injury throughout the IPL 2023. Now, ardent CSK fan and former Indian cricketer, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan hailed the Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni for his determination. Dhoni was a big source of inspiration for the entire CSK camp.

Former Indian leg-spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan hailed MS Dhoni and tweeted, “MS Dhoni went through a knee surgery today, it was successful. True leader, playing with one leg. No pain no gain. The agonising pain did not affect his clarity of thoughts. Amazing how he was able to lead his side with so much pain. His mindset was of a warrior. Champion for life”. MS Dhoni was seen limping after the game or even on the field sometimes. Coach Stephen Fleming also acknowledged MS Dhoni’s effort.

As he is looking to play one more season for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, Dhoni has undergone surgery in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital on Thursday. Dhoni went through various checkups on Wednesday under Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala who is the director of sports medicine in Kokilaben Hospital. He has also treated wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant after his accident in December last year. Dhoni still has an 8-9 month gap to decide on his next year’s participation in the IPL 2024.
