Watch: Suryakumar Yadav meets fans in Mumbai streets in disguise ahead of IND vs SL match

Suryakumar Yadav played a crucial knock of 49 runs against England in India’s last league stage match.

Mumbai is ready to host India in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Team India will be playing against Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium on 2nd November. India played the 2011 World Cup final at the same venue against the same opponents when they ended the wait of 28 long years to win another ODI World Cup. Team India need one more win to secure their place in the semifinal and they will be looking to get through in style. They have won all their six league games so far in the ongoing tournament.

India’s batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav will be taking on Sri Lankan bowlers on his home turf in Mumbai. Just a day before the big game against Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium, Indian’s Mr. 360 was seen taking up the new role away from the ground. Suryakumar was spotted with a camera in Mumbai’s iconic marine drive interacting with cricket fans about the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Surya plays cameraman

Suryakumar Yadav took up the role of cameraman and went out to have a chat with cricket fans with a full-sleeved shirt, a mask, black goggles, and a cap. Surya was unrecognizable even by his teammates. In the video posted by BCCI on social media, Ravindra Jadeja was also deceived by Surya’s look and the all-rounder failed to recognise local boy Suryakumar Yadav. He also managed to deceive his fans who failed to recognise the Indian batter.

Suryakumar Yadav went straight to Marine Drive and had a chat with a few cricket fans. Surya was having great fun while shooting the video and said, “Today I am playing the role of a cameraperson. We will talk about cricket and have some fun in the street.” Surya found a few fans and Rohit Sharma’s craze was visible. Rohit Sharma has been a top performer for Team India in the World Cup 2023 and he is India’s leading run-scorer as well.

Later on, Suryakumar Yadav revealed his identity and clicked a few pictures with the fans present in the marine drive. One cricket fan suggested that Suryakumar Yadav upgrade his game and asked him to bat up the order in the ODI format. Meanwhile Surya was trying to hold his laugh and he revealed after the chat, “I almost laughed.” Surya played a crucial knock of 49 runs against England at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
