Yuvraj Singh was player of the tournament during India’s title-winning campaign in 2011 World Cup.

India have produced some incredible cricketers in the history of the game, and this nation is called the den of some of the insane batting talents. One such superstar that took the batting to a whole different level was Yuvraj Singh. The Southpaw was a champion batter, a more than useful spinner, and a live wire in the field.

He was a complete package who had many match-winning performances for India across formats. The left-hander turns 42 today, and we will look at the top five achievements of Yuvraj Singh‘s career that made him different from the league. Yuvraj played a major role in India’s winning moments in the T20 World Cup 2007 and the ODI World Cup 2011, which are two golden moments in Indian history.

Here are the Top 5 biggest achievements of Yuvraj Singh’s career

1. Six 6s in an Over in T20I:

Who can forget what Yuvraj Singh did to Stuart Broad? It was the game between India and England in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Yuvraj had some exchange of words with Andrew Flintoff, and the rest is history. Yuvraj smashed six consecutive sixes off Stuart Broad and became the first and only batter to hit six consecutive sixes in an over in T20 internationals.

2. Fastest T20 World Cup 50:

Yuvraj Singh held the previous record for the fastest T20I fifty. He scored a 12-ball fifty against England in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup. However, Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee recently broke that record and hit a nine-ball fifty. But Yuvraj’s 12-ball fifty is still the fastest in T20 World Cup history and also the fastest by a batter from a test-playing nation overall.

3. Most ICC Finals:

Yuvraj Singh in his best form was one of the reasons that MS Dhoni was pretty successful as a captain because he had someone who could change the game down the order for his team. The Southpaw was also at his best when it came to ICC tournaments. That’s why Yuvraj is the only player in history to feature in seven ICC finals. Even Ricky Ponting has featured in six overall. This record seems impossible to break. Yuvraj played in the finals of ICC Knock Out Trophy 2000, ICC Champions Trophy 2002, ICC Cricket World Cup 2003, ICC T20 World Cup 2007, ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, ICC T20 World Cup 2014 and ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

4. MOTM in three ICC Knockouts:

Yuvraj’s best came when the pressure was immense. That’s the reason that he is the only Indian player to win three MOTM awards in ICC knockout games. Yuvraj scored a match-winning 84 off 80 against Australia in the ICC Knockout 2000 and won MOTM. Then he scored a 20-ball fifty in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2007 to win another MOTM. Later in the quarterfinal of the 2011 World Cup, he scored another match-winning knock against Australia to win his third MOTM in ICC knockout matches.

5. Most ODI Hundreds at No. 5:
