Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma added 105 runs for the opening partnership against Pakistan in Super Four clash of Asia cup 2025.

The Indian Cricket Team thumped the Pakistan Cricket Team by six wickets in match two of the Super Four stage of Asia Cup 2025. The second encounter in the tournament between the two teams took place at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Sunday. 

The Indian side won the toss and opted to field and they had a tough outing with the ball. Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan (58) hit a solid fifty, taking the attack to the Indian bowlers, especially Jasprit Bumrah, who is the leader of the Indian bowling attack. 

Saim Ayub (21) and Fakhar Zaman (15) also played their part as Pakistan had a brilliant start with the bat. However, they failed to capitalise on the start as Indian bowlers made a comeback, stopping the run flow and also picking wickets in the middle phase. 

In the end, Mohammad Nawaz (21) and Faheem Ashraf (20*) batted well, making sure that Pakistan ended up putting a fighting total, ending up with 171 runs. For India, Shivam Dube was the pick of the bowlers with his two wickets. 

In the chase, Abhishek Sharma (74) and Shubman Gill (47) gave India a brutal start, adding 105 runs for the opening partnership. They went hammer and tongs at the Pakistan bowlers and brought them down on their knees with their brilliant effort. 

Following their partnership, India lost few wickets quickly, Tilak Varma (30*) held the fort and took his team home with six wickets in hand.
