Watch- Travis Head’s brilliant overhead diving catch ends Rohit Sharma’s blazing knock in IND v AUS World Cup final

Rohit Sharma scored 47 runs in the IND v AUS World Cup final.
India and Australia are clashing in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 finals on November 19, 2023. This encounter is being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This is the fourth ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 finals for India and the eighth for Australia.
And Australia captain Pat Cummins started well by winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. Despite the fact that experts predicted the pitch would be dry and have some spin in the second half, both India and Australia fielded same line-ups as in the semi-finals.
Shubman Gill was the first wicket to fall, as Rohit Sharma went after the bowling on the other hand. Gill tried to pull a not-so-short ball from Mitchell Starc but was out-caught at mid-on by Adam Zampa.
Then Rohit Sharma continued to smack Kangaroo bowling as he stroked three sixes and four fours in his brilliant knock. This included a four and a six to Josh Hazlewood and Glenn Maxwell on consecutive balls.
Travis Head ends Rohit Sharma’s effective stay at the crease with a brilliant catch
Rohit Sharma was looking to set himself up for a big one, and with Virat Kohli joining him, he looked to build a partnership. Even Virat Kohli joined in the fun, hitting Mitchell Starc for three consecutive fours in an over.
Pat Cummins was forced to bring on a spinner inside the first 10 overs, but he chose Glenn Maxwell to do the duty. Despite being hit for a four and a six off his previous over, Maxwell continued to lure Rohit with floating deliveries on the off stump.
And on the penultimate ball of the 10th over, Rohit Sharma stepped out, trying to send the ball straight for a six. However, Indian captain ended up slicing the delivery, which went soaring in the sky towards the off-side.
Travis Head had to run some distance from his place in the covers and made a dive while looking at the ball over his head and running backwards. He took an amazing catch to send the dangerous-looking Indian captain back to the pavillion.
