Watch: Ravi Bishnoi strikes on his first delivery! Castles Josh Philippe with a ripper
Indian spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel bowled magnificent spells against Australia in Raipur.
Indian bowlers have made the job tough for the Australian batting lineup in a modest run-chase of 175 runs at Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Raipur. Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi have bowled magnificent spells against Australia in the 4th T20I games of the ongoing five-match T20I series. Axar Patel has picked up 3 wickets in his 4 overs spell and put Australia in trouble. Ravi Bishnoi was also brilliant as the wicket was assisting the slow bowlers.
Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Australian opener Josh Phillipe in the first ball of his spell. Bishnoi bowled a tight line against the batter and didn’t let them free their arms in the chase. India need a win here to secure the five-match T20I series. India won the first game played in Visakhapatnam, second in Thiruvananthapuram but lost in the previous game played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
Ravi Bishnoi castles Josh Philippe in Raipur
Josh Philippe was playing his first game of the series and Indian leggie used his inexperience to his advantage. Ravi Bishnoi castled him with a flat delivery bowled around off stump. Inglis was looking to target the Indian leg-spinner from the first ball and he went for a sweep but Bishnoi’s flatter delivery was much fuller than the Australian opener expected and the ball went straight onto hitting the stumps and dislodging the bails.

Josh Philippe smacked two boundaries against pace bowlers and he was dismissed on just 8 run score. Philippe was the first wicket to fall for Australia and in the next over Axar Patel got dangerous Travis Head (31). Mukesh Kumar caught a great catch to dismiss the Australian opener who started aggressively against Deepak Chahar and Mukesh Kumar. Head smashed 5 fours and one six in his 16 balls stay at the crease in Raipur.
Ravi Bishnoi finished with a spell of 1/17 in 4 overs while Axar Patel got 3 wickets for 16 runs in his 4 overs. Indian spinners curtailed Australian batters impressively and made middle-order struggle in a spinning wicket. India posted 174 runs in their 20 overs, and Rinku Singh (46) once again became India’s crisis manager and played a magnificent knock. Rinku added a crucial 56-run stand for the 5th wicket with Jitesh Sharma and took India to a decent total.
