During the first match of the two-match Test series that took place in Dominica between India and West Indies, the young and promising cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal was given the chance to make his debut for the Indian team. Despite his relative inexperience at the international level, Jaiswal showcased exceptional skill and remained composed under pressure. In a truly remarkable achievement, he scored a century in the first innings of his very first Test match.
Having seamlessly carried his outstanding performances from domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL) to the international arena, the young prodigy has proven his form and ability at the highest level.

Scoring a century on a Test debut is an extraordinary accomplishment, and Yashasvi Jaiswal's achievement puts him in the company of some of the most celebrated Indian batsmen in history. With remarkable patience and focus, he achieved the momentous milestone of a century after facing 215 deliveries, including 11 boundaries.
Only the 3rd Indian opener to score a century on Test debut
At the age of 21, Jaiswal joined an exclusive club of Indian openers who have scored a century on their Test debut. Prior to him, only two other Indian openers, namely Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw, had achieved this remarkable feat.
