Yashasvi Jaiswal dropped four catches in the first IND vs ENG test in Leeds.

Indian Cricket Team opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been under massive scanner ever since the first test against the England Cricket Team concluded. The game took place at the Headingley in Leeds and saw the hosts winning the game with ease.

One of the major reasons behind India’s loss in the first test against England was the reckless fielding in both the innings. Around 10 catches were dropped and that cost India big time as they went on to face a five-wicket loss in the opening game.

In particular, Yashasvi Jaiswal came up with the sloppy fielding effort in both the innings. The opening batter went on to drop as many as four catches in the game including one of Ben Duckett, who went on to score 149 runs in the second innings and helped his team chase the target of 371 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal dropped few catches in gully region and after that he was sent to field in the deep. That too didn’t pay off as he displayed sloppy effort there as well.

Karun Nair, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan and Nitish Kumar Reddy will be the new slip cordon for India in second test against England

For his poor fielding in Leeds, Yashasvi Jaiswal faced a massive criticism. However, now the youngster has been punished for it by the team management. As per the reports in RevSportz, it is learned that team is likely to have a new look slip cordon for the second game at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Just two days ahead of the game, Karun Nair, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan and Nitish Kumar Reddy were seen practicing hard in the slip cordon. If the reports are to be believed then the all-rounder will be replacing Jaiswal in the slip cordon for second game.

Yashasvi Jaiswal had a brilliant game with the bat in first test. In what was his first game in England, he slammed a century, scoring 101 runs in the first innings. However, he was low on confidence in the second innings as he didn’t make a bigger impact.

The second test between England and India will begin from 2nd July at Edgbaston in Birmingham. India, who lost the first game by five wickets, would be hoping to make a strong comeback in the second game and level the series.
